Easy, Everyday Ways to Welcome More Parsley Into Your Kitchen
If you’re thinking, “This sounds lovely, Barb… but what do I actually do with it?” ~ I’ve got you.
Parsley is one of the easiest herbs to incorporate into daily life. It’s affordable, accessible, and fits seamlessly into real-world cooking.
Stir It Into What You’re Already Making
Add chopped parsley to scrambled eggs or frittata.
Toss it into tuna, chicken, or potato salad.
Stir dried parsley into soups and tomato sauces.
Sprinkle fresh leaves over baked fish.
No new recipes required - just enhancement.
Make a Parsley-Forward Salad
Try tabbouleh: parsley, mint, tomato, lemon, olive oil, and bulgur. Fresh, satisfying, and nourishing.
Or simply mix chopped parsley into green salads for extra texture and vitality.
At home, it’s often a colorful chunky Greek Inspired salad:
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Red onions
Optional: sweet peppers
Freshly chopped parsley (and/or other herbs)
Feta cheese
Lemon juice or red wine vinegar
Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
Optional: ground cumin, ground coriander, and/or red chili flakes
Quick Parsley Pesto
2 cups parsley
¼ cup nuts
¼ cup grated cheese
1 garlic clove
½ cup olive oil
Lemon juice
Pro Tip: Mince the ingredients by hand or give them a few pulses in a food processor - you want the herbs lightly blended, not pureed, so they stay vibrant and textured.
Store in the refrigerator. Spread on sandwiches, toss with pasta, spoon over vegetables, or swirl into soup.
Brew Parsley Tea
Steep fresh or dried parsley in hot water for 10 minutes. Refreshing and traditionally used to support digestion and fluid balance.
Storage Tip
Wrap fresh parsley in a damp paper towel and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Treat it gently, and it will last well over a week.
Parsley isn’t just a garnish - It’s a quiet powerhouse. Color and vitality in its simplest form.
